There’s something ornate about commuting or traveling during rush hour when it’s not your normal routine. A primal satisfaction and relief in knowing that I’m not one of them. Mindless souls shackled by responsibility and societal expectations. “Mindless” is the wrong word, for if this was truly the case it wouldn’t be so sad. Conscious, mindful souls - enslaved by their own minds. Responsibilities and societal expectations are weights placed around our shoulders. Not to say we shouldn’t embrace responsibility or consider the expectations of others, but for fucks sake. Be happy! I haven’t figured it out for myself yet, but I know it doesn’t mean leaving your home right when the sun rises and returning well after it sets.
