Not much changes as we grow older 

But we perceive endless reasons to think so 

A baby isn’t stupid or dumb 

In many ways we become ignorant as we grow 

In my old age 

I’ll return to a similar state as when I was a baby 

Being a baby is our purest state 

It’s honestly kind of crazy 

I babysat today

And although she couldn’t speak

I can only imagine all the things she’ll say 

As I grow older 

Kids just keep getting cuter 

I’m still a kid in many ways 

Finding enjoyment in pressing the keys on my computer

I want to be the best possible father 

It’ll be the most important role of my life 

Currently it’s being a son and brother 

Oh how easy life would be if we could just make everything right 

I’ve been an incredibly difficult person

In every possible way 

There’s a lot of things I should keep to myself 

There’s a lot of things I just shouldn’t say 

I’m learning to be a better son

Because I want to be the best dad 

And because I love my family

And not being in their good graces makes me sad 

What is life 

But a baby and a series of moments 

I’ve made plenty of mistakes

And for my family’s sake I’ll own it
